Obtaining a hunting license

  • To hunt in Wyoming or Montana you must apply for and receive a hunting license. Nelson Outfitters will assist with the application process. All of our Big Game hunts include the license in the hunt fee. Please contact us directly for instructions, as the process is different for both states.
  • All hunters must sign a "Hunt Agreement" with Nelson Outfitters and submit a 50% deposit to reserve hunt dates.
  • Important: All agreements and deposits must reach us before March 1st to allow us adequate time to process and submit the applications.
  • Our combination hunts are from 5 to 8 days. Hunter/Guide ratio is 1:1 on Trophy hunts. We do not mix groups of hunters together. If you arrive alone, you will hunt alone with a guide.
  • Our hunts are handicap accessible. Please notify us of special needs when booking your hunt.
